Abstract Title:Computational Mechanistic Studies of Inert Chemical Bond Activation Reactions

Biography:

Panpan Chen obtained her Ph.D. from Zhejiang University and conducted postdoctoral research with Prof. Ken Houk at UCLA. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher with 2013 Nobel Laureate Prof. Arieh Warshel at USC. Her work focuses on computational mechanistic studies of organic and bioorganic systems. She has published 21 papers in prestigious journals, with 12 as first or co-first author. Notable publications include 3 in J. Am. Chem. Soc., 1 in Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., 1 in Nat. Commun., 1 in Nat. Synth., and 2 in ACS Catal. Her research has been widely recognized and frequently cited in the field.
